PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber pressurizing mechanism capable of easily executing the alignment of the optical axis of an optical fiber and the optical axis of an optical device without the damage on the optical fiber and easily changing the pressure between the optical fiber and the V-groove of the optical device. SOLUTION: When a compressed air regulated in a control section 15 of a pneumatic source is sent through an air tube 14 and an air passage 12 into a pressurizing balloon 11, this pressurizing balloon 11 inflates. The pressurizing balloon 11 is made of a flexible rubber and, therefore, executes uniform pressurization so as to enclose the optical fiber 2 in a wide range. Since the optical fiber 2 intrudes closely into the V-grooves 3 of the optical device 1, the alignment of the optical axis of the optical fiber 2 and the optical axis of the optical device 1 is easily and rapidly executed. The alignment is completed when the optical fiber 2 is adhered into the V-groove and is cured. |
