<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enciphered communication system by which enciphered synchronism can surely be established on an ATM network. SOLUTION: An enciphering device 21 enciphers transfer data stored in the payload of a cell by using one part of a pseudo random number generated by a random number generator 32. A counter information application part 34 inserts counter information showing the order to send cells into that payload. A random number generator 44 generates the same pseudo random number as the random number generator 32. Based on the counter information extracted from the received cell, a counter information analytic part 43 recognizes the position of one part of the pseudo random number used for the private device 21 and outputs one part of that pseudo random number to the random number generator 44. Enciphered transfer data are taken out of the received cell and while using one part of the pseudo random number outputted from the random number generator 44, these transfer data are deciphered.</p> |
