Tetrazole compounds represented by general formula (1): (wherein A represents an optionally Ra-substituted C1-10 alkyl or the like; B represents a direct bond, O, NR<1>, (C(R<4>)(R<5>))m, C(O), OC(O), C(O)CH2, S(O)nCH2 ou S(O)n; m is 1 to 4 while n is 0, 1 or 2; D represents N(R<2>), (R<3>) or an optionally Rc-substituted heteroaryl; Ra represents a halogen atom, nitro or the like; and heteroaryl represents an aromatic heterocycle); and a pest control agent containing the above compound as the active ingredient. The compound, when used as the active ingredient of disinfectants, insecticides, and/or miticides, exhibits high activity at a low dose.
