The mirror has a housing (2) consisting of a base element (6) cut from a profile of greater length, with a mainly concave cross sectional profile. An end element is fastened to one or both profile ends. The base element has a longitudinal fastener profile (12,13), and end profile (14) which is fitted into the fastener profile. A mirror element (5) has an end profile, which fits into the fastener profile. The profile is an extruded continuous profile of plastic or metal, especially aluminium or aluminium alloy.
