<p>A system and method for improving the accuracy of a location measurement within a telecommunications system are disclosed. A combination of Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) and Timing Advance (TA) location measurement techniques enables Automatic Location Identification (ALI) with minor modifications to the telecommunications system, whereby the combination exhibits reduced measurement error and resolution of ambiguities present in either technique separately.</p> |
