<p>A holding apparatus (30) incorporated in the housing (2) of a game machine (1) holds a slip verification unit (20) which includes a slip checkup device (21) and a stacker (22) disposed under the slip checkup device (21) and combined therewith through a pair of mating connectors (28A, 28B). The holding apparatus includes a stacker-receiving unit (40) capable of receiving the stacker (22) therein and having a front side closed by a door (42) which when opened permits access to the interior of the stacker-receiving unit (40), a checkup-device carrier unit (50) capable of carrying the checkup device (21) and movable relative to the stacker-receiving unit (40) so as to bring the connectors (28A, 28B) into and out of engagement with each other, and an interconnecting mechanism (70) which operatively interconnects the door (42) of the stacker-receiving unit (40) and the checkup-device carrier unit (50) such that the connectors (28A, 28B) are disengaged from each other when the door (42) of the stacker-receiving unit (40) is opened. <IMAGE></p> |
