FIELD: testing in construction. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to equipment testing strength of stone and brick walls of buildings and structures. Gear has support-base with power cylinder connected to force-measuring manometer and grip manufactured in the form of two adjacent cheeks embracing brick or stone over sides and interhinged by means of tie-rod and two hinge links arranged at angle which vertex is directed towards tie- rod. For simplified mounting and unambiguous setting of gear on testing object connecting tie-rod can be adjusted over its length with the aid of nut and screw which head and nut are hinged to cheeks joined by means of hinge links to piston of power cylinder fed from pump supplying working fluid.
