<p>PURPOSE:To display only a part corresponding to a new radar coverage and thereby to improve visibility on a display by erasing data on an old radar coverage simultaneously with writing-in of data on the new radar coverage when a radar coverage is shifted. CONSTITUTION:Data on a target object caught by a radar 1 are once stored in a memory 3 and then they are taken out and displayed in a high-luminance display 2 of a raster scanning system. When new and old radar coverages are not in accord with each other in a mode wherein the radar 1 follows the target object, data in a memory area corresponding to the old radar coverage are erased simultaneously when the display data from the radar 1 are written in a memory area corresponding to the new radar coverage, by a control device 4. In the case when the new and old radar coverages are in partial accord with each other, the data in the memory area corresponding to the old radar coverage not being in accord are erased. According to this constitution, the target object followed by the radar 1 is displayed on the display 2 and an improvement in the visibility for an operator can be attained.</p> |
