Plastisol gasket forming compositions comprise a vinyl chloride base resin and a quantity of a viscous liquid silicone as lubricant, said silicone being present in an amount such that a coating is formed on the sealing surface of a gasket formed from said composition and provides lubrication thereto. The resin may be polyvinyl chloride or a copolymer of vinyl chloride with a minor amount of vinylidene chloride or vinyl acetate. The plasticizer may be a polyester epoxide or acetyl tributyl citrate. The compositions may also comprise additional lubricants, e.g. lecithin and paraffin wax, fillers and pigments, e.g. barytes and titanium dioxide, and stabilizers, e.g. calcium ricinoleate. The compositions may be applied to closure members, e.g. to form annular gaskets in rotatable caps, and thereafter fluxed.
