PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain flexibility with respect to partial bending by imparting flexibility to a rigid foam and further providing a hinge structure thereto by compressing to the hard foam at the time of compression by an apparatus wherein uneven processing is applied to the partial place of a compression surface. SOLUTION: A rigid foam is compressed at a time of compression by an apparatus wherein uneven processing is applied to the partial place of a compression surface. In the uneven processing the transmission/diffusion efficiency of gas in foam cells is good in the case of both surfaces. As the foam, a polystyrene foam, a polyurethane foam or the like constituted of closed cells is pref. and, in order to obtain the polystyrene foam, it is proper that a granular resin to which foamability is imparted is foamed by heated air or steam and foamed particles are filled into a mold to be heated. The density of the foam is pref. 7-50 kg/cm<3> and the thickness thereof in a compression direction is pref. 1-200 mm. Compression quantity is pref. 40-97% and a compression speed is set to 20-100 cm/min and a compression holding time is set to 1 sec-20 min. |
