PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, capable of reducing the incidence of diseases of a raised animal such as a chicken and suppliable to the animal by mixing with a formula feed by including chitin and/or chitosan and a live bacterial preparation, an enzyme and an amino acid therein. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) about 1-100 g chitin and/or chitosan, preferably chitosan alone, (B) about 10-150 g live bacterial preparation which is preferably a butyric acid bacterium or Bacillus natto, (C) about 10-150 g enzyme which is at least one selected from preferably cellulase, protease, pectinase or phytase and (D) an amino acid, preferably lysine or methionine in an amount of about 10-300 g lysine or about 20-400 g methionine at about (4:1) to (1:4) compositional ratio of the methionine to lysine when mixed for use and, as necessary, (E) a nutrient auxiliary, an excipient or a gross feed, etc., and affording about 1 kg of the objective composition. |
