PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a device by arranging several treating furnaces for producing, regenerating and activating an activated carbon and providing the treating furnace with a device for supplying an activated carbon material and a means for transporting the treated activated carbon material in a non-O2 gas state to other treating furnace or other system to eliminate the fear of dust explosion or fire and to continuously treat by allowing several treating furnaces to share. SOLUTION: Electrodes 10, 11 for heating the packed activated carbon with joule heat are arranged on the inside walls formed into a vertical rectangular state and facing each other, the several treating furnaces 2-4 each provided with porous ceramics 14 for ejecting the non-O2 gas used at the time of discharging the treated gas and the activated carbon material are arranged at the four corners of the bottom and the activated carbon material supplied by the supply device 5 is separately treated successively with a chemical, steam and CO2 in the treating furnaces 2-4. After the treatment in each treating furnace, the non-O2 gas is ejected through the porous ceramic 14 from a blower 29 and the activated carbon material is transported to other treating furnaces 3, 4 or other system. |
