PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose photocatalyst carriers in high density in a photocatalyst reaction device, eliminate the particular requirement for providing a system formed of light collecting, piping action, emission and the like in the photocatalyst reaction device, improve the reaction efficiency on the surfaces of the photocatalysts, supply light with good efficiency and purify efficiently pollutants in gas by the photocatalyst reaction. SOLUTION: A plurality of plane light scattering bodies 3 carrying photocatalysts are disposed in high density in a reaction tank 2 with a gas introduction section 1 and a gas exhaust section. The plane light scattering bodies 3 are provided with light receiving sections for the incidence of the light emitted from a light source 4, and the light can be scattered from faces other than the light receiving sections to the outside, and photocatalysts are carried on the surfaces other than the light receiving sections. The positions of the plane light scattering 4 bodies 3 in the reaction tank 2 can be disposed by determining the light source 4 and the plane light scattering bodies 3 so as to carry out the incidence of light emitted out of the light source 4 from the light receiving sections into the plane light scattering bodies 3, for instance, by disposing the light receiving sections of the plane light scattering bodies 3 facing the light source 4 to dispose the plane light scattering bodies 3 in high density in the reaction tank 2. |
