PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement type fluid machine reduced in fluid loss in an intake process to the same degree as a scroll type fluid machine and higher,in intake efficiency than the scroll type fluid machine. SOLUTION: A displacer 5 and a cylinder 4 are arranged between end plates. When the center of the displacer 5 is aligned to the rotational center of a rotary shaft 6, one space is formed by the inner wall surface of the cylinder 4 and the external wall surface of the displacer 5, and when the position relation between the displacer 5 and the cylinder 4 is in a turning position, a plurality of spaces are formed. In a displacement type fluid machine l of such constitution, the curves of the internal wall surface of the cylinder 4 and the external wall surface of the displacer 5 are so formed that a rotation angleθc of the shaft in a stroke from the end of intake to the end of discharge in the plurality of spaces satisfies ((N-l)/N).360 deg.<θc<=360 deg., where N is the number of protruding parts protruded inward into the cylinder 4, and intake ports 7a communicating with the plurality of spaces are formed in positions of connecting two confinement end points formed by the cylinder 4 and turning motion of the displacer 5 arranged in the turning position.
