PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a melting transfer type image receiving sheet having excellent gradation reproductivity, dot reproductivity and color image vividness, capable of providing an ink image recording with a high recording density. SOLUTION: The melting transfer type image receiving sheet comprises a sheet-type supporting member and a porous ink receiving layer prepared from a resin-containing liquid mainly comprising a water dispersion type resin. The water dispersion type resin has a 15 to 60 acid value based on JIS K 5407. The surface of the porous ink receiving layer has a 0.5 to 8 μm average pore diameter. The water dispersion type resin is at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyurethane resin, a urethane-acrylic copolymer, and an acrylic resin. |
