PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply transfer an image to material to be transferred such as a mug by forming the image on a transfer image receiving member by a thermal transfer type, bringing the receiving member into close contact with material to be transferred, and irradiating it witle a microwave. SOLUTION: When a transfer film 1 is threaded to a printer of a known thermal transfer type, an image responsive to original or data is formed on the film. Then, an image forming surface of the film is brought into close contact with a member desired to be transferred (mug). Then, this mug is contained in a microwave oven, and the oven is operated for a suitable time. Then, eddy current flows in a heating layer 3 of the film 1 to heat a transfer sheet. Dye image on the film is transferred to the mug by the heat. At this time, the mug may be covered with a special coating so that the dye is easily transferred. |
