PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material such as thermal recording material or photographic photosensitive material having excellent coating suitability and light resistance. SOLUTION: The recording material containing a primary coating layer and sensitive material layer on a support comprises low viscosity gelatin having 10 to 30 mP of viscosity of a PAGI method and 15 to 70 g of jelly strength of the PAGI method and a laminar inorganic compound. The inorganic compound is water swelling synthetic mica, and its aspect ratio is desirably 100 or more. As the swelling inorganic laminar compound, swelling viscosity mineral and the like such as bentonite, hectorite or montmorillonite, swelling synthetic mice or swelling synthetic smectite is used. Of them, the bentonite and swelling synthetic mice are preferable and particularly the swelling synthetic mica is preferable. |
