PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-grade image free from image irregularity and the blur of lines even in an apparatus for scanning a photosensitive member by a plurality of laser beams. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is equipped with a means 7 for detecting the toner density of the image developing part on a photosensitive member and a means 14 inputting the output value of the means 7 to adjust the light emitting quantities of light emitting elements 1, 2 and the means 14 allows the light emitting elements 1, 2 to emit lights to successively and individually adjust the light emitting quantities of the light emitting elements 1, 2 so that the toner density of the image developing part on the photosensitive member becomes a first value and further adjust the light emitting quantities of the light emitting elements 1, 2 so that the toner density of the image developing part on the photosensitive member becomes a second value. |
