PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically and substantially reduce a noise occurring from the own body of an air pump and to sharply enlarge an air discharge quantity. SOLUTION: This air pump comprises a case body divided into a pump chamber 1b and a noise eliminating chamber 1c; an electromagnet 2 provided in the pump chamber 1b; a pair of vibration pieces 4 having severally fixed permanent magnets 3 and a pair of diaphragm pumps 5 driven by the vibration piece 4 symmetrically arranged; the case main body 1 sealed up with a cover body to turn the inside of the case main body 1 except the parts of an air introducing port 12a and an air leading out port 13a into a sealed state. Both the vibration pieces 4 are synchronously vibrated in the directions of an approach and of alienation by the electromagnet 2 to drive both the diaphragm pumps 5, and air (a) introduced from the air introducing port 12a into the pump chamber 1b is drawn into both the diaphragm pumps 5 respectively, and the air (a) in both the diaphragm pump 5 is discharged into the noise eliminating chamber 1c, and the air (a) is led from the chamber 1c toward the outside of the case main body 1 through the air leading out port 13a. |
