METHOD FOR RENEWING EXISTING PIPELINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for renewing an existing pipeline capable of easily laying fresh piping within the existing pipeline without the extreme reduction in the size with respect to the bore side of the existing pipeline. SOLUTION: A nozzle member 1 capable of discharging a thermoplastic resin in a molten state is introduced into the existing pipeline from its one end opening. A molding pig 2 which is inserted into the existing pipeline and fluidizes the thermoplastic resin discharged from the nozzle member 1 toward the inside surface of the existing pipeline and a cooling member 3 which is movable together with this molding pig 2 within the existing pipeline are used. While the thermoplastic resin adhered to the inside surface of the existing pipeline is molded by the molding pig 2 by using the molding pig and cooling member, the thermoplastic resin is cooled to cure, by which the fresh pipe is constituted in the existing pipeline.
