PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to prevent deformation of a catheter during of after connecting with another tube member, etc., for a long period, by placing a thin wall enhancing tube member at the inner face of the connecting position on a hollow lumen of the tube member. SOLUTION: When A proximal shaft 4 and a distal shaft 5 are fused together, another thin wall enhancing tube member 7 is preliminarily placed inside an expanding lumen 6. That is, an expanded diameter part 8 is formed on the proximal end part of the proximal shaft 4 at first and then another thin wall enhancing tube member 7 with the outer diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the expanding lumen 6 is inserted into the expanding lumen 6 of the distal shaft 5. The opposite side of the enhancing tube member 7 is inserted into the proximal shaft 4 and the proximal side of the distal shaft 5 into the expanded diameter part 8 and, next, fused together by heat from a hot air supplier, etc. Thus, changes of inner diameters of shafts 4, 5, and the cross section of the expanding lumen 6 can be prevented. |
