PURPOSE: To provide a surgical instrument that is suitably used in endoscopic operations, operations at narrow parts for operation, etc. CONSTITUTION: An end finger 10 is particularly suited for palpation and includes a sheath part 12 having a hole matching the outer shape of a finger and an extension 14 connected to the sheath part 12. The sheath part 12 has a hard part 16 made of a hard material, which extends between the first and second joints of the finger, and a soft part 18 extending from outside the hard part 16 to near the root of the finger. While the hard part 16 can be formed in a variety of lengths, it is preferably extended between the first and second joints so that the finger is firmly fixed in the hole in the hard part 16 by bending the finger at the first joint, and so that the extension 14 can be oriented by bending the finger at the second joint. |
