PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a functional cooked rice food filled in a pack, quickly heatable by heating in hot water for about 1 min, excellent in taste and texture and incorporating even a desired nourishing ingredient and to provide a method for production by which the cooked rice food can efficiently be produced. SOLUTION: This functional cooked rice food 1 filled in a pack comprises a processed rice consisting essentially of a food 4, vacuum packed in an unsealable outer bag 2 and covered with an inner bag 3 made of an inedible film and contains any or a plurality or more of calciums, vitamins, fibrous materials, saccharides and other well-known nourishing ingredients 5 added thereto in the functional cooked rice food 1 filled in the pack. This method for producing the cooked rice food comprises housing the processed rice which is a principal ingredient, an ingredient, a soup or water and a nourishing ingredient in the inner bag 3, forming minute ports 3b capable of making the internal steam escape therethrough to the outside in the inner bag 3, then cooking the processed rice by heating from the outside of the inner bag 3 with steam or high-frequency waves and subsequently vacuum-packing the resultant cooked rice in the outer bag 2 in the method for producing the cooked rice food. |
