PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transparent gel detergent compsn. which has low irritation, excellent foamability, good stability over time and restoration from storage at a low temp., and is excellent in creaming properties of foams by incorporating an alkyliminodicarboxylic acid type amphoteric surfactant and an alkanolamide type nonionic surfactant in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This transparent gel detergent compsn. comprises: (A) 7 to 30 wt.% (based on the whole compsn.) alkyliminodicarboxylic acid type amphoteric surfactant represented by formula I (wherein R<1> represents a 10-18C alkyl group or alkenyl group; M<1> and M<2> each represents H, an alkaline metal, ammonium, basic amino acid cation, or alkanolammonium; and (n) and (m) are each 1 to 3); and (B) 8 to 30 wt.% (based on the whole compsn.) alkanolamide type nonionic surfactant represented by formula II (wherein R<2> CO represents an 8-20C acyl group; (p) and (q) are each 0 to 3; and p+q>1), the total amt. of the component A and the component B being 20 to 55 wt.%, the component A to component B wt. ratio being (1:3) to (3:1). |
