PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head capable of ejecting an ink drop having a small diameter without using a nozzle, corresponding to high resolution forming without generating heat and of removing a solidified material stuck to a portion in the vicinity of a tip of an elastic member. SOLUTION: This recorder comprises a printing head 33 having a vibration generating means which vibrates in accordance with an image signal and an elastic member 5 which is vibrated in response to the excitation of the vibration generating means. The print head 33 generates a capillary wave on a surface of ink by virtue of the vibration of the elastic member 5 when printing is executed and ejects the ink to stick it to a recording medium, thereby performing the printing. The recorder further comprises a cleaning means 50 which is disposed in the ink ejection direction of the print head 33 in order to clean the elastic member 5 when non printing. |
