PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scuffing with an end plate due to bite-in of the extreme end face on the outer circumferential side of a lap from generating by previously forming the height of the outer circumferential side of a scroll lap lower than the height on the inner circumferential side, and equalizing both the height by a deburring work. SOLUTION: In a fluid machine in which a stationary scroll and a revolving scroll are set eccentric to each other, and engaged with each other deviating their phases to perform revolving motion, the height L1 of the outer circumferential side 41 of the spiral lap 12 of a scroll 10 is previously formed lower than the height L2 of the inner circumferential side 42 by a little quantity, i.e., a quantityδby which the inner circumferential side extreme end face 42a is worn by a deburring work. When the inner circumferential side extreme end face 42a is worn by removing burr 38 generated by drilling a seal groove 37 on the inner circumferential side extreme end face 42a by a deburring work such as brushing, the height L2 of the inner side 42 is equalized to the height L1 of the outer circumferential side 41. Hereby, scuffing between the outer circumferential side extreme end face 41a of the spiral lap 12 of the scroll and an end plate can be prevented from generating.
