摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple structure in which an absorbing solution containing granular lime stones existing in a neutralized zone for the absorbing solution is flowed uniformly all over and granular lime particles are flowed uniformly all over the area. SOLUTION: An in-column weir 17 is provided on a central section of a lower section in a circulating tank 6 and an absorbing solution is collected on oxidized zones 7 on both side sections of the circulating tank 6 and dropped therefrom, and air is blown into the oxidized zones 7 to oxidize sulfurous acid in the absorbing solution. The solution is transferred from drawing sections 9 on both side sections of the in-column weir 17 into a neutralizing zone 15 in the in-column weir 17, wherein the solution is reacted with granular lime particles to form gypsum eventually. As the absorbing solution is fed from the drawing sections 9 on both side sections of the in-column weir 17 positioned symmetrically to the central section of the in-column weir 17 onto the neutralizing zone 17, the granular lime particles are flowed uniformly all over the neutralizing zone 17, and also the solution from an absorbing solution introduction section is flowed uniformly all over the neutralizing zone 17. Thus the neutralization reaction in the neutralizing zone 17 is in progress smoothly by the arrangement. As the area size in the oxidizing area is reduced to a large extent, an agitator is not required for dispersing oxidized air.</p>
