PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the manufacture of the fine and uniform non-dendritic grain slurry by applying motion to the molten metal in the temperature range where the temperature of a least a part of the molten metal in the cooling process is the liquidus temperature or under. SOLUTION: Aluminum alloy for casting JIS AC4C of about 610 deg.C in liquidus temperature is melted, and poured into an iron cylindrical slurry manufacturing container of 63 mm in diameter and 100 mm in height at the temperature of 660 deg.C. When the temperature of the molten aluminum alloy in the container reaches 620-610 deg.C, an ultrasonic oscillator is brought into contact with the side surface of the container for approximately 10 seconds, and after the motion is applied to the molten metal inside, the molten metal is cooled at the cooling speed of 3 deg.C/second, preferably 0.4 deg.C/sec. to form the granular slurry where no dendritic structure is present. The metal for casting includes aluminum metal, magnesium alloy, zinc alloy, copper/copper alloy, and iron alloy. The motion may be applied not only by the ultrasonic oscillation, but also by the high frequency induction stirring, the mechanical stirring, etc.
