PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of an examinee by providing a solid-state image pickup element with a photoelectric conversion part and a transferring part and integrating one of or an optional pair among a driving signal generating part, a signal processing part, a radio transmission part and a power supplying part to one chip thereby reducing the number of signal lines in a scope insertion part. SOLUTION: An image area 21 is provided with plural diodes 23 as the photoelectric conversion part, plural vertically transferring circuits 25, a horizontally transferring circuit 27 and a reading amplifier 29 outputting an image pickup signal OS to the outside of a CCE chip 9 corresponding to an electric charge quantity transferred from the circuit 27. The driving signal generating part generates vertical/horizontal driving pulses and reset pulses respectively by means of vertical timing generation circuit 37 and a horizontal timing generation circuit 35 based on a clock inputted from a main body part and amplifies then by means of a driving circuit 39 to supply for the area 21. As the driving signal generating part is integrated to the CCD chip, the signal for inputting/ outputting to the CCD chip become 1/2 of conventional ones being five in total.
