A faucet assembly 10 connected to a water supply to control the flow of water through the faucet assembly 10 which has its underbody 78 mounted on a deck. A handle 72 to actuate a valve 46 mounted in the underbody 78. A first spout 56 is removably mounted to the underbody 78 above the deck 14. Upon the valve 46 being shut off, the first spout 56 is removable from the underbody 78 and a retrofit s pout 80 is mountable on the underbody 78 in place of the first spout 56. The retrofit sp out 80 may add features or otherwise upgrade the faucet assembly 10 without requiring reinstallation thereof, such as the feature of selectively filtering the water d ischarged from the faucet assembly 10.
