The network includes a directional coupler (1) which has four terminals. If the coupler is used on its own, a signal input (6) applied to terminal a is divided between the other terminals b, c & d in the ratio 90% : 10% : 0%.When the two switches (S1,S2) are in the normal position, 90% of the signal is fed to the user (b) and 10% is fed back (V). The switches are operated to accomplishes three other connection situations. Both outputs are disconnected, the user output is blocked but the return signal is connected or the user signal is connected and the return signal is disconnected. (Dwg.5/7)
