Block forming artifacts reduction method for film recording coding

The method involves appointing pixels which lie central around a block limit and setting a standard mode. Frequency information are determined from the surrounding of the block limit for each pixel using a four-point kernel. A value of a discontinuous component which belongs to the block limit is set to the minimum value of a value of a discontinuous component which belongs to the surrounding of the block limit in the frequency range. The setting operation is used for the location area. A DC offset mode is used and block forming artifacts are reduced in a smooth, even area which contains only small movements, such as a background.
