Vacuum pump for brake servo

A rotating vane vacuum pump for a brake servo in a vehicle has the outer edges of the vane held between two side walls. One of the side walls (18) is sprung axially by a spring system (41) and with the outer rim of the movable wall sliding inside the pump chamber. The housing of the pump chamber and the side walls are made of different materials. The vane is made of two sections pressed apart by springs and rotates about an axis parallel to the axis of the chamber.
