Cement-bound paving stone with top opening

Plastics synthetic grass is arranged in the opening (3) of the top surface of the paving stone (2), the grass or grass portion as used secured to a wall forming the base of the opening (3) so as to stop short of the top side of the paving stone. Drainage is provided at the base of the draining channels (6) in the area of the base wall (5) or else via a water-permeable area of the opening base. The base wall (5) is made of cement-bound material and is possibly in the form of a moulding to be inserted in the stone opening (3). This moulding when used should be made of plastics and come complete with synthetic grass (7) as also several drainage channels. The moulding can also be water-permeable and comes in one piece with its grassing. Drainage can be assisted typically by using a coarse concrete as base wall. The body (2) of the stone can be shaped to requirement.
