The setting drive (10) uses an electric setting motor (15), coupled to the adjustable rear view wing mirror (11) via a setting mechanism (31). The setting motor is provided by a flat armature motor, housed within a hollow space (14) in the vehicle bodywork (12), covered by an internal fascia panel (27), the drive torque applied directly to the setting element (30) of the setting mechanism via the motor shaft (19).
