Dental remedies containing as the active ingredient(s) one or more members selected from among parathyroid hormone (PTH) and its derivatives (1) optionally together with estrogen (2). These remedies are clinically efficacious in virtue of their effects of increasing the bone density in the maxillary alveolar bones, in particular, the supramaxillary alveolar bone and the submaxillary alveolar bone, preventing or treating embrittlement of the maxillary alveolar bones, in particular, the supramaxillary alveolar bone and the submaxillary alveolar bone, promoting regeneration of the maxillary alveolar bones, in particular, the supramaxillary alveolar bone and the submaxillary alveolar bone, increasing the bone density in the whole submaxillary bone and the submaxillary molars after tooth extraction, etc.
