Heat reclamation in steam generating plant

An improved thermal efficiency for a steam generating plant has an improved separator for water vapour and gasses vented from the water heating system ie. the gasses vented from the make-up water. The vapour and gas mixture is ducted into the top of a condensing chamber (1) with a swirl action to enhance the rate of condensing. The vented gasses are ducted out of the chamber via a non return valve (7.2) while the condensed, warm water is returned to the boiler. The vented gasses are passed over cooling coils to extract residual heat. The cooling of the vented gasses reduced the pressure in the venting system to provide a pumping effect to draw out more gasses from the condensing chamber.
