PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect pieces of equipment in an excavator against muck dropping from between a front support and a gripper by a very simple structure. SOLUTION: A protective cover 13 covering entirely pieces of equipment arranged between a front support and a gripper is comprised of a conical circumference cover portion 13a restricted toward the rear with the axis of a tunnel functioning as the central axis, a rear cover portion 13b that is connected to the rear end of the circumference cover portion 13a and vertical to the tunnel axis. The front cover portion 13c on the front end side of the circumference cover portion 13a is formed in a manner that allows it to be moved following the front support with a hinge 15. |
