INTERMEDIATE FILM FOR SANDWICH GLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an intermediate film for sandwich glass having excellent deaeratability in a prepress bonding stage. SOLUTION: This intermediate film is used in production of the sandwich glass to be executed by prepress bonding glass plates and the intermediate while removing the air remaining between both by a vacuum bag method or caulking roll method. Embossments consisting of fine ruggedness are formed on the surface of the intermediate in this case. The cutting level corresponding to Mr2 obtd. from the Abbot load curves stipulated in DIN 4762 and 4776 is formed as the cut surface of the embossments. The total volume of the projecting parts upper than this cut surface and the total volume of the recessed parts lower than the cut surface satisfy the following conditions: In the case of the vacuum bag method: The total volume of the projecting parts is 11×10<-3> to 17×10<-3> mm<3> /mm<2> and the total volume of the recessed parts is <=1.0×10<-3> mm<3> /mm<2> . In the case of the caulking roll: The total volume of the projecting parts is 10×10<-3> to 14×10<-3> mm<3> /mm<2> and the total volume of the recessed parts is <=0.5×10<-3> mm<3> /mm<2> .
