The fire engine has a guide track (13) on its roof (11) along which a holding device (19) for a ladder (12) travels. There is a rear stop for the guide device (15). There is at least one guide roller (20) on the roof, separate from the guide track. The roller forms an additional guide bearing position while the holding device is being moved along. There is a gap between the rear end of the guide track and the rear end of the roof.
