A pressure sensitive, double sided self adhesive tape (I) consists of a support that is coated both sides with a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising: (A) up to 50 wt.%, preferably 30-40 wt.% of a crosslinked, non-foamed polyurethane, formed from a hydroxy functionalised polybutadiene, polyesterdiol, polyestertriol, polyesterpolyol, polyetherdiol, polyethertriol or polyetherpolyol , polyetherdiamine, polyethertriamine, polyetherpolyamine as well as a mono-alcohol, mono-amine, polyether-mono-ol, polyether-mono-amine or products of the last hour named compound types and a diisocyanate or chemically derived isocyanate; (B) 50-70 wt.% filler and (C) optionally other processing aids. Also claimed is a process for the production of (I) by application of dried and crosslinked adhesive composition followed by application of a non-hardened, paste or liquid polyurethane composition by means of two component mixing technology onto the adhesive composition; coating of the polyurethane composition with a separator paper coated with a dried and crosslinked adhesive composition and hardening or crosslinking of the polyurethane composition at 20-120 degrees C.
