The stator (8) is contained within the hollow rotor and the conversion drive is contained within the stator. The stator may be water-cooled, the conversion drive provided by a planetary gearing with a sun wheel (15) coupled to the rotor and a hollow wheel (18) coupled to the driven hub.</p>
