In telecommunications systems, parts of the system or the whole system is automatically restarted in order to neutralise software errors. In the case of a hard reproducible error, said mechanism does not allow the error to be neutralised. The invention solves this problem by means of a restart mechanism which restarts only the software of the computer system which enables the computer system to continue to operate with a reduced functionality.
