Selectively reducing nitrogen oxide(s) in boiler flue gases

Process for selectively reducing nitrogen oxides in flue gases from boilers comprises injecting a reducing agent containing or releasing ammonia into hot combustion gases. An additive is added to the reducing agent before injecting and contains a transition metal complex or mixtures of different transition metal complexes. An apparatus is also claimed for carrying out the process comprising an injector (14) and a feeder (21) for the additive. The reducing agent itself is further claimed.
