Production of parabase ester from aniline

A process for the production of parabase ester comprises: (i) the production of acetanilide from aniline and acetic acid, the reaction being carried out in a static mixer; (ii) chlorosulphonation of acetanilide, in which acetanilide is introduced into a reactor as a molten liquid and reacted with chlorosulphonic acid (ClSA) and thionyl chloride; (iii) crystallisation of acetaminobenzene- sulphonyl chloride (ABSCl) from a solution containing ABSCl, ClSA and hydrogen chloride (HCl), the ClSA and HCl being removed by evaporation, (iv) the crystallisation of acetaminobenzene- sulphinic acid (ABSA), which is carried out as a continuous process; (v) the esterification of acetaminosulphone (AASO) with sulphuric acid (H2SO4) by feeding H2SO4-containing AASO in suspension in H2SO4 into a mixing reactor.
