Said container is made from a semirigid plastic sheet, comprising a bottom (50), two side walls (53), a rear wall (51) and a front wall (52), characterised in that the side (53) wall top edges (532) are free, whereas the rear (51) and front (52) wall top edges (512, 522) have each a constant extra thickness in cross-section whereon is plugged in, by axial translation, a reinforcing rod (8) consisting of a section bar with a section slide (80) adapted for receiving and maintaining said thickness. The container serves both as a box and a bag, in particular for household use.
