Controller for an asynchronous motor supplied by an inverter and in a control drive

The motor (3) has n stator windings controlled with n mutually independently controlled bridges from a d.c. intermediate circuit. Each motor connection is connected to a bridge. The controller is arranged so that the bridges are driven with a phase shift corresp. to the spatial distribution of the stator windings when the motor is driving. The intermediate circuit voltage (200) is monitored. When the motor is being driven, and during braking of he motor, the phase shift of the drive between at least two bridges is reduced according to the voltage of the intermediate circuit.
