Novel aminoethylphenoxyacetic acid derivatives represented by general formula (I) and pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof, which have effects of stimulating both of beta 2- and beta 3-adrenergic receptors and are useful in the pain remission and calculi removal promotion in urinary lithiasis; wherein R<1> represents hydrogen, lower alkyl or aralkyl; R<2> represents hydrogen or halogeno; and the carbon atoms with the marks of (R) and (S) are those having the (R)- and (S)-configurations respectively.
