PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To validly utilize a summarizing function, and to improve the convenience of document management by applying the summarizing function for preparing the summery of a document to the document management. SOLUTION: A hard disk device 103 stores document management supporting software 104 for realizing a document managing function and document summarizing software 105 for realizing a summarizing function. The document summarizing software 105 prepares the summery of a whole document, the summery of each paragraph, and the summery of a selected range. In this case, when the display of document information stored in the prescribed area of a document file is instructed, the information of a file name, folder name, preparer, preparation date, title, and keyword or the like is displayed, and the summery of the pertinent document is inputted from the summarizing means, and displayed as document information. When the display of the document information is designated, the content of the document can be surely specified from the document information for preparing the summery of the penitent document. Also, at the time of displaying the document information, the preparation and display of the summery can be attained. |
