PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the malodor of electrolytic soln. vapors produced at opening of valves and wasting, avoid deteriorating seal rubbers and raise the conductivity, by dissolving specified diamine carboxylate as an electrolyte salt in aγ- butylolactone-contg. solvent. SOLUTION: Specified diamine carboxylate as an electrolyte salt is dissolved in aγ-butylolactone-contg. solvent wherein n is integer over 1, R1 -R4 are semiconductor or 1C-5C alkyl groups in Formula of the diamine having two amines per molecule, this providing a higher ion dissociation degree. The diamine shown by the formula is a tertiary one which never produces a strong alkaline substance at the electrolysis and pref. N,N,N',N'-tetramethyldiaminomethane and carboxylic acid is pref. o-phthalic acid, maleic acid or benzoic acid.
